Prom Safety Lessons at The B.L.O.C.K.

The B.L.O.C.K. was recently featured on Channel 7 News regarding Prom Safety.

See what they did, and how the Canton Public Safety Department are preparing for this year's prom.

The B.L.O.C.K (Building Leaders Out of Canton's Kids) is open to all kids, ages 11 to 17. Hours are available during school breaks and special events on the weekends.

The B.L.O.C.K is a place where kids can spend quality time in a safe, secure, and supervised environment, a place where kids will want to spend countless hours with their friends.

 

The B.L.O.C.K. Summer Membership

Spend your summer, just a week (or day) here or there at the B.L.O.C.K! Enjoy unlimited usage, planned activities, and mini-trips.

    Monday-Friday (10 weeks)
    Fee: $1,125 Resident / $1,449 Non-Resident
    Admission for the Friday Road Trip is included
  • Weekly Membership
    Monday-Friday
    Weekly Fee: $125 Resident / $161 Non-Resident
    Admission for the Friday Road Trip is included
  • Daily Drop-In
    Space is limited, so please call ahead.
    Monday-Thursday
    Daily Fee: $25
  • Summer Road Trips
    Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Teen Night Out
Fridays, 6:30 - 11 p.m.
Teens ages 11-17

Teen Night Out (TNO) is a series of Friday night events designed just for teens. All events meet or take place at the BLOCK and are on a drop-in basis. Some events do require pre-registration.

Youth Advisory Council

If you are a student in grades 8-12 who lives in Canton, and are interested in getting involved with this dynamic group, call 734/398-5570.

Canton's Youth Advisory Council (Y.A.C.) continues to assert itself as an influential group of students in the community who truly make a difference in their community by participating in community service projects, special events, local decision making, and more!

The Council is constantly on the move, with recent trips to the western and northern parts of the state.

What Can I do at the BLOCK?

Transportation for your Teen

A Parent's Dream: A transportation system for their teen that is safe, secure & controlled by you.

Here's how it works:

  • You or your teen calls the BLOCK and a pick up time is given.
  • Staff arrive at your doorstep, pick up your teen, and check them in at The BLOCK.
  • When it's time to go home, we return your teen to your doorstep.

 

After School Program
Monday-Friday,
2:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Our after school program offers students more choices than any other program around! Students are picked up from their school daily and transported by Leisure Services staff to the BLOCK.

Students must be picked up by 8:30 p.m. each day.

On half days, students will be picked up from school and allowed to stay until 8:30 p.m.
