Aquatic Fitness Classes

Some of the classes that are offered in the aquatic center include:

  • Aqua Tone
  • River Blast and Sculpt
  • Ageless Aqua
  • Arthritis Aqua

This program is based on the American Red Cross and National Safety Council's Learn to Swim Program.

All participants will be tested by our instructors during the first class period and then broken down into groups based on their comfort and skill level.

Parent / Child Swim Lessons

  • Starfish: 6 months to 1.5 yrs
  • Goldfish: 1.5 to 4 yrs
  • Sea Turtles: 2.5 to 5 yrs

Swim Lesson Age Groups

  • Preschool: 4 to 5 yrs
  • Youth 1: 6 to 8 yrs
  • Youth 2: 8 to 14 yrs
  • Sharks (Competitive Strokework): 8 to 14 yrs and able to pass a swim test.
  • Teen/Adult Level 1 and 2: 14+ yrs
  • Elite Swim Training

Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center is a fun-filled water environment for people of all ages! There is a 5-lane, 25 yard lap pool, zero-depth leisure pool with play features, a lazy river and slide, spa, steam room and sauna room. The variety of pools has something for anyone that likes being in water.

  • Lap Pool: 25 yards, five lanes from 3'-5' deep
  • Therapy Pool: 17 person capacity
  • Leisure Pool: zero depth edge; 30' water slide and lazy river

The Aquatic Center is open approximately 100 hours per week for activities such as lap swimming, fitness classes, swimming lessons, and open swim. We offer everything from parent & child aquatic exploration to adult swim & fitness programs.

Staff Training
Lifeguard Training Through Jeff Ellis & Associates

International Pool and Waterpark shallow water lifeguard certification is a highly recognized certification throughout the aquatics industry. The instructors are all certified Lifeguard Instructors and work to ensure that all participants are engaged in a positive learning environment.Image of Lifeguard Training at Summit on the Park

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive an International Pool and Waterpark shallow water lifeguard certificate.

Participants must be at least fifteen years old, have the ability to pass a swimming pretest, and complete all reading material prior to the start of class.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate. The class consists of both classroom training and in water participation.

This certification is recognized throughout the aquatics industry as a quality certification for those interested in teaching swim lessons. The class consists of classroom training and inwater participation. All participants will walk away with their own training manuals, new teaching techniques, and a pool of knowledge to take with you through your teaching career. This class is taught by a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer.
