Canton Seniors: Clubs, Groups and Activites Informaiton

Hours:

Mon - Fri: 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Senior Center Staff are available:
Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.


The Senior Adult Program is located in the Parkview Room of Summit on the Park Community Center.

Special Events for Our Seniors

  • May 23, 1 - 3 pm - Senior Memorial Heritage Park Gazebo
    Join us while we honor our program participants have passed away in the past year. Friends and family are invited to attend this special day of remembrance followed by a small reception. Reservations may be made by calling 734/394-5485.
  • National Senior Health and Fitness Day, May 30
    Canton Resident Seniors may utilize the Summit fitness center, track and aquatic center for free all day.
    • Enjoy drop-in: Pickleball, Wii, Ping Pong
    • 7 - 9 am - Water Walking in the Lazy River
    • 9:30 am Tai Chi from the Arthritis Foundation
    • 10:30 am Ageless Aqua Noon Lunch 1pm Gentle Yoga

Participation fee:$5 for Canton Residents, $7 for Non-Residents
You can sign up as a team member, or as a sub. Teams have four members each.

    Fees: Movie $1; Lunch and Movie $7 Resident; Lunch and Movie $9 Non-Resident
  • Senior Billiards
    Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Parkview Room.
  • Woodcarving - every Tuesday,
    9 - 11:15 a.m.
  • Red Hat Society meets the First Wednesday of each month, 1 p.m.
  • Handicrafters meet every Thursday, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

The Sounds of Canton

Practices are on Friday mornings throughout the year, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Asian Pacific Seniors

Arts II Room Fridays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

A program for our new Americans that will provide English classes and social get-togethers.

Non-Canton Residents will be charged a $15 resident / $30 Non-resident participation fee per session

  • Evening Cards - 6:30 p.m.

Plymouth-Canton Community School Event Passes

Any resident of the Plymouth-Canton school community age 62 or older & retired may receive a non transferable, non-expiring pass to school events.

The pass will admit the recipient to all school dramatic and musical programs (which are not specifically fundraising events) and to regular season home athletic events.

Please stop by the Senior Center and pick-up an application that will need to be taken to the PCCS office at 454 South Harvey St. in Plymouth, MI.
