Whenever the local Plymouth-Canton school district closes due to inclement weather, Senior classes, programs and shuttle service will also be closed.
Canton provides a wide range of year-round activities and services for residents age 55 and older. The Senior Adult Program operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Program office is located in the Parkview Room of Summit on the Park Community Center.
Participation in the Senior Adult Program does not require the purchase of an Annual Pass or Daily Visitor's Fee. Current program information is available in the monthly newsletter, "The Silver Threads." The annual Senior Services Directory lists programs, services, trip guidelines, policies and volunteer opportunities. Pick up your Senior Services Directory at Summit on the Park.
Daily Lunches
Served each day, Monday-Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Oak Room. Advance 24-hour reservations are necessary. Lunching with friends is the perfect end to a morning workout, or a prelude to an afternoon program. There is no charge for lunch for those who are age 60 or older, however, a suggested donation of $2.25 is accepted. For individuals less than the age of 60, the cost is $4.00
