Summit on the Park To Offer FREE Community Day For Canton Residents

(Canton, MI August 6, 2012) The Summit on the Park, Canton’s premier recreation facility since 1996, will open its doors to all Canton residents for a free Community Day on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Visitors to the center can enjoy a free trial day and test out all that the facility has to offer from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., including: Fitness and Aquatic Centers; Dance & Aerobics Studio; gymnasium, racquetball court and indoor track; steam room and sauna; and Kids’ Corner Child Care Center. In addition, Summit staff will be on hand to answer questions about the 60 plus fitness classes offered weekly, including: Zumba, Power Yoga, Boot Camp and more!

During this free Community Day, Canton residents are invited to sign up for a FREE trial week to take advantage of the Summit’s extensive fitness offerings. Specific Land & Aquatic fitness classes will also be available free of charge during this week-long trial period. Visitors are asked to just check in at the Summit front desk by showing proof of Canton residency with a photo ID to take advantage of all the Summit has to offer. In addition, all Summit Community Day participants will be eligible to enter a raffle drawing to receive a $25 Summit on the Park gift certificate (2 winners); no purchase necessary and need not be present to win.

"The Summit on the Park prides itself on helping our members live healthier lives," said Facility Supervisor Sean Fletcher. "We offer a range of specialized classes and programs so that the entire family can work out under one roof and meet their health objectives."

The Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, Canton, MI 48188 offers flexible membership options, including: monthly, annual, or daily drop-in fees. As an added bonus, Summit membership also includes admittance to most Land and Aquatic Fitness classes on a first-come, first-served basis. The Summit on the Park is currently open: Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
