  • AARP Tax Assistance Program: A listing of free tax counseling assistance sites.
  • Benefits Check Up: contains fast, confidential and free screening tool to determine eligibility for nearly 1,000 unique state and federal programs and detailed instructions on how to apply for them.
  • MPRO (Michigan Peer Review Organization): This organization contracts with the Federal government to assist with the health care needs of people with Medicare.
  • Social Security On-line
  • Deaf, Hearing and Sign Language Center: This non-profit center provides a variety of services to the hearing impaired, including interpreter services, sign language classes, and hearing screening and aides.
  • MiSeniors: This Michigan Access to Services for Seniors web site is sponsored by the the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging. Their mission is to promote independence and enhance the dignity of Michigan's older persons and their families through advocacy, leadership, and innovation with efficient and effective policies, programs and services.
  • The Wayne County Office of Nutrition Services: Under the "Seniors" subsection of the "Services" listing. Information is available regarding: home delivered meals, congregate meals, and liquid meal supplements.
  • The Senior Alliance Area Agency on Aging: This is the planning and service agency for seniors 60+ for Western Wayne County and the Downriver Area.
