Family First Community/Special Events
Canton Leisure Services is proud to present the 4th annual Cherry Hill Arts Festival! This exciting family-friendly event will celebrate and showcase the many faces of the art world. Both local and regional artists working in a wide variety of mediums will be featured. Work will be available for display as well as for purchase.
Activities will include:
- An Interactive Art Workshop for the entire family provided by D&M Art Studios of Canton
- Face Painting
- Plen Air Painting Demonstrations
- Chalk It Up Competition featuring sidewalk chalk painting from talented local artists along Ridge Rd.
- Artist/Crafter Booths & Tents
- Educational & Interactive Art Activities in and around Cherry Hill School
- Festival Food
- Particpation from local businesses & community groups

Cherry Hill Arts Festival Stage Schedule:
- 11 a.m. - Tabasco Cats (a division of the Canton Concert Band)
- 12 p.m. - Spotlight in a Trunk - Snow White (Spotlight Players)
- 1 p.m. - Central City Dance (Tim Smola)
- 2 p.m. - The Initiative (Boy Band presented by Forever After Productions)
- 3:30 p.m. - Scenes from 8th Wonder Productions
The Village Theater will be open for art exhibition and sales, concessions, restrooms and free tours of the facility.
Live Performances at the Village Theater:
- 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. - "Come to the Cabaret", 8th Wonder Production in the Biltmore Studio

Annual Ice Cream Social
Tuesday, July 14, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Cherry Hill School
Celebrate National Recreation and Parks Month with an old community tradition! Enjoy our old-fasioned price for a delicious ice cream and toppings bar served up in the kitchen of the historic Cherry Hill School. Then find a shady spot on the lawn for the tuneful melodies of the Canton Concert Band. Preregistration is not necessary. Supplies are limited. Reconnect with neighbors and friends over a scoop...there's always room for ice cream!
Family Camp-Out and Movie Night
Friday-Saturday, July 17-18
Tent set-up (no trailers or mobile homes please) begins at noon on Friday, July 17. Families are invited to set up tents around the amphitheater and enjoy the movie at dusk. There will be plenty to do before the movie, including a games and activities for the entire family beginning at 6:00pm. Pound the Pavement For A Good Cause
Saturday, July 25 at Cherry Hill Village
This summer team up with us in Canton’s Walk/Run for a Cause.
Choose from the 3K Dog Walk along a scenic course that will wind through historic Cherry Hill Village to benefit Canton’s NEW Dog Park, or, select the 5K Run for History to benefit Canton’s Historical Society.

Salute to Service
We are looking for Photos of our Servicemen and women
Copies of photos can be mailed to Paula Kosbe, 1150 S. Canton Center Road, Canton, MI 48188 or emailed to pkosbe@canton-mi.org.
We are collecting photos of Canton residents who are currently serving in our Armed Forces for display at this event. Residents are encouraged to submit 8 x 10 scanned copies of photos (no originals photos please). Please label the back of each photo with the name of the service person, the branch of his or her service, and contact information.
