Abrakadoodle - Twoosy Doodlers

Description

For ages 20-36 months. This is a special art class just for toddlers and parents (or helpers). Twoosy's learn and develop fundamental skills and experiment with painting, gluing, sticking, printing and modeling compounds while developing fine motor, language and self-help skills. This is an "I can do it!" class that is fun and creative! Each session has new activities and moms and helpers get to play too. All art materials are non-toxic and washable, but please dress children in art-friendly clothes. Art aprons will be provided to the students at each class.

Description
The program prepares students for ACT test required for college admissions.  The program contains full length pre and post practice/diagnostic tests.  The instructors provide an overview of all the concepts and strategies required for the test. Description
Calling all kids that are looking for some fun activities when school's out.  We will provide a fun fitness class, sports & games, swimming, and much more!  So grab your tennis shoes and swim suit and get geared up for what is to be the most fun you've had on a day off!  Each participant will receive a boxed lunch and snack.  Note: this program is offered when Plymouth/Canton schools are hosting a 1/2 day or full day off from school.

Building on Beginning Group Lessons Level 1, students will learn additional hand posistions and notes on the neck, chord building, and more music reading skills. Emphasis will be to start putting basic chords and notes together to play songs. Pre-requisite: Students need to have successfully completed Beginning Group Guitar  Lessons or can demonstrate proper fingering in the first hand position and picking to attend (instructor's permission required). Description
Come join us Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3 p.m. in Summit on the park Aquatic Center for open play. This is an opportunity for parents in our community to meet others and have your children of the same age play. We will turn on the water features and provide some water toys. Pre-registration is not necessary. Parents must join their child/children in the water and remain with them at all times. Children that are not potty trained will be required to wear a swim diaper, which can be purchased at the Summit front desk. This program does not provide child care or swim instruction.

Drop in registration is at the Summit on the Park front desk.

Cost is $7 per class.

Cardboard Boat Races

Description

Have you ever imagined the countless things you can create with some cardboard boxes and duct tape? The aquatic staff members are challenging you to a cardboard boat race.  Participants can create a cardboard boat to be raced through the Summit Aquatic Center. The boat can only contain cardboard, tape, paper or plastic decorations and MUST NOT CONTAIN metal, glass, staples, tacks, etc. Awards will be given to the fastest boat across the pool, best decorated/themed, and staff favorite.

Description

This program is designed for children with advanced swimming skills who are interested in joining a swim team. Before joining this class, participants must be able to successfully swim two lengths of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and 1 length of butterfly or have approval from their swim instructor or the swim lesson coordinator. Emphasis will be placed on developing proper stroke techniques, turns and workout.

Mr. Reed has exhibited at the Plymouth Community Arts Council and the Charles Wright African American Museum in Detroit. Step right up to the free throw line to try and win a turkey when you compete in the Thanksgiving free throw shoot out. Boys and girls will compete in the following age divisions: 8-9, 10-11 & 12-13. Participants are encouraged to wear athletic shoes to the contest. Kids can pre-register at the Summit or on-site at 9:00 a.m. the day of the event.
